
River Point Behavioral Health Co-Sponsors Mental Health America Conference
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (June 28, 2010) – River Point Behavioral Health, a Psychiatric Solutions, Inc. (PSI) facility, co-sponsored the 2010 Mental Health America of Northeast Florida Conference on Opposition Defiant Disorder and the Family.The event took place on June 4 at the Jacksonville Marriott.
The four-hour training program focused on differential diagnosis and treatment of Oppositional Defiant Disorder from a behavioral and family systems perspective. Ross McDonough, a licensed clinical social worker and certified addiction professional in private practice in Neptune Beach, Fla., facilitated the event.McDonough also serves as an adjunct professor of social work at the University of North Florida.
More than 200 treating clinicians representing approximately 40 agencies throughout Northeast Florida attended the conference.
Four Continuing Education Units were offered for LCSWs, LMHCs and LMFTs who attended.
